I have been trying to come up with an idea for this weeks theme, unfortunately I can't think of anything. Today I tried to convert a recent image of a Peregrine Falcon that I managed to capture.
I decided I liked the image in B & W but it really didn't qualify as a Chiaroscuro.
Most of the processing was done using CS5.
I decided to post it anyway....Ciao for now
This converted well into b&w. I really like the textured bkgd and the highlight around the peregrine that darkens as it spreads outward. This visual outward spread mimics and strengthens the visual impact of the spread wings of the peregrine. A strong image.
Great tones and framing Paul. I really like the lightness of the beak, which give it a dynamic feel to me.
Very nice, Paul. B&W was a good choice, and I like the graininess of the BG. I might increase the contrast a little to make it more dynamic.
Great capture of the peregrine, Paul, and the black and white works well. The background texture gives it interest and mood.
Hi Paul, I like your capture and the fact that you made it a vertical. I personally love vertical flight shots like this. I agree on a little bit of contrast boost or curves to bring out the highlights a bit. Good show!
I like everything about this one. It is simple, yet dramatic. Tonality is great and draws the eye in to a wonderful Perigrine pic.
