Love that soft juvenal plumage and the juvie's sharp eyes.
What a beauty
Any idea what the one on the left was trying to do?
Almost surely preening her baby.
Thanks ;)
You are most welcome.
Not your usual BIF shot! Lovely and sweet and in good light. Yes, the mother I preening the chick for sure. The OOF green vegetation is a big plus here as the BO habitat is often bare dirt mount. Loi
I like it a lot, and I love the "green flames" created by the FG vegetation. I could do without the dark vertical stick poking mom on the chest. A tender moment captured...
Excellent captured image.
I agree with Daniel's suggestion of removing the dark stick
Looking at the glare the juvie bird has given, this one could easily be titled "Gee Mom, do you have to preen me while the photographer is watching?" typical teenager ;-)
It is nice to see something different from you!
I wish you had been a bit higher to clear the OOF grasses but otherwise a sweet shot.
It reminds me of Edith Bunker kissing Archie when he comes home from work!
It always amazes me how much better the babies look compared to the tired, overworked, exhausted parent,
Gail
A treasured moment for sure, Arash.
The juvie's expression is priceless. Just like any kid who's getting unwanted attention from a fawning parent.
What an absolute stunner of a shot here Arash !! Love it
thanks everyone,
Gail I intentionally went low to add those grasses to FG which was otherwise a lump of mud and ugly.
Although I love your BIF stuff , it sure is nice to see this shot from you. Nice light on them and your usual solid techs makes for a very pleasing photo. Well done Arash.
Love that look and eye, understand about the mud, but wishing there wasn't quite so much oof grass in front, sometimes ya just gotta get what ya can.
Intimate action shot captured beautifully.
Very nice scene and colors.
Very lovely moment you've captured Arash. TFS
lovely behavior captured here. like the setting, details & comp
Priceless interaction, captured sweetly! Great light quality. This is yet another avian subject that you cover incredibly well from a number of different angles.
Very cute shot. I like the low angle and the grass around the owls. Shows the habitat/ecology of the birds. Always like that.
