Was really lucky to have seen this rare kingfisher recently. The bird was probably checking potential nesting sites and was seen coming to and fro similar routes for 2 days. Not sure if the OOF leaves in the left foreground works but I thought this composition and pose of the bird gives the feeling of a rare secret peek at this elusive bird..
Hi Jay I like it a lot Personally I would crop some from the bottom The oof leaf is not adding. Also cropping would place the bird lower in frame Great detail Love it !!!

Jay,
I get the "seek peek" idea and think it works OK though that one OOF leaf right below the bird is distracting. I like the composition but would have preferred a head turned a bit more towards you. Excellent image.

Really nice bird. I'm leaning more and more toward a more environmental approach to my compositions, so needless to say, I like this one. I think you could keep the same feel and still lose some of the lower leaf. I might crop up to about the top of the largest hole in it.

Great catch! Jay,
but I would also cut the foreground since it is distracting(busy) in the front,
