Apparently not common in Spain, resident here in Portugal. Alarge group lives around the house but seldom rest.
This is a 50 crop which has had nr to BG, AND very very light nr on bird with Topaz. Then resized and sharpened.
Taken with my 7D , 0 LENS CALIB. Back Focus, ME, HH, ISO800, 1/4000 F8 mid day blazing

Very nice looking bird. Good sharpness and eye contact. The perch is a little too dominant, butwhatcan you do? I'd suggest taking off some of the space ontheleft. Loi

I am ok with the perch, I like the bits of lichen on it. Wonderful complementary colors of bird, rock, and background. Sweet light. Overall a really nice portrait, Richard.

Hi Richard, the earthy tones of perch, sparrow and BG all work well together. Great HA, and the feather detail stands out well enough on the sparrow. Im also fine with the perch, and although the vertical comp works well, I would still come in a little from the left, as suggested by Loi.

Perch looks good to me, as well as the composition. I like the head turn the sparrow gave you. Light harsh, but contrast well handled. Not sure you needed ISO 800, but better too much SS than not enough!

Sweet shot of this little guy and the bg is nice as well as the head turn.. I wish the tail was slightly above the rock
