Another Greylag Goose

Yesterday I had a very close view of a Greylag Goose.

Today one with a little more room around the bird. Hope you like it.

Munich, Nymphenburg Park.

EOS 7D, EF 4/200-400L IS 1.4x at 400mm. f5, ISO 400, 1/60
Some small increase in vibrance and clarity in LR 4. Standard screen output sharpening.

After years of using only prime lenses (mostly my former 4/500) for birds, it takes a while to get used to the fact that now I can zoom in and out http://www.naturescapes.net/forums/i...icon_smile.gif

Hi Markus, I like the flower covered surroundings around the goose, together with all the space. Good feather detail, and you have left enough space below for the virtual legs.

Ha ha, for me its the opposite...using a zoom lens for years now I have to get used to a fixed focal length!:S3: I like the image a lot, nice low angle and the yellow flowers add a lot od interest here (and I love the lone pink one!). I you would consider removing the two oof ones touching the goose's back, crop out or clone in the very top darkish band along the top edge, and perhaps try a version of the image with a warmer WB. All-in-all very appealing...
