This Black Skimmer chick was nestled in his scrape. The next moment he popped out of the scrape, decided to test his new wings...and fell promptly on his butt. I couldn't help but laugh.

I love when they do that! watching and shooting chicks is my favorite and you caught that playful, energetic burst well her. Great detail and nice to get the catch light.

hahaha...classic ! What an endearing pose...instant smile to ones face on viewing this one. Whites look rather well handled on bird and sand, and just a hint of motion blur on the wingtips to add a bit of life to the image....I dont think it would hurt to crop a tad more from the top, but not sure I'd suggest that's a must do tweak...pretty darn good as is.

Just adorable. You caught this at the exact right moment, the position of the feet tells what happens next. Made me smile.

So cute and adorable. The low angle works well here. Your whites look perfect. Loi

Great action, beautiful detail. As Grace said, you can see from his position just where he's headed. Love the limited color palette.
