Following the fresh juvenile Least Sandpiper I posted the other day here is an adult with some worn feathers. Always fun to compare plumages of individuals of the same species![I]
Canon 7D + 500mm f/4 II + 1.4TC, manual exposure, evaluative metering, 1/2000s., f/7.1, ISO 800, natural light, handheld, about 80% FF, some specular highlights on the legs and vegetation eliminated via patch and spot removal tools, darkened pupil, lightened iris.

Have to agree the low angle is ideal, interesting the way the seaweed breaks up the water and sky/backdrop....." Least " by name, but not by good looks. Cant decide if a tiny bit ore off the top would look a tiny bit better or not.....but excellent comp as is, tweaks to highlights seems to of done the trick
Stunning shot, wonderful low POV and quality to the image. Great light seems to have been key to the quality.

Being a pano sort of guy, I agree with Phil about a sliver off the top, perhaps 10% or so.

The little fellow (or gal) does look a bit tired and worn. As a parent, I can relate from time to time. :w3 You've done a great job here with the lovely colors and environment.

Hi Dan, good feather detail showing up in this, and your usual low angle of capture works well. I do like how the foliage stands out against the smooth water, and the mixture of the BG colours work well together.
Another excellent image with beautiful colors. Love the pose with very nice HA, low angle,great feathers details,wonderful BG colors.
