This was taken in June at my backyard set up. This year the blossoms and the Orioles didn't line up. I don't have perches with moss on them but found this one along a creek and thought I would see how it worked. All C&Cs are welcome and appreciated.

I too lke this image, Jim. The perch has some interest and the leaning pose of the bird is engaging. Kind of nice to see an oriole in a setting without flowers. :)

Beautiful Jim. The colors really stand out against the dark bg and that is a very interesting looking perch

I enjoy the light quality and how the oriole pops against the darker greens in the background. This is an excellent backyard oriole image. With the relative simplicity of the perch, working in another element for a bit more visual complexity is worth considering...though, this is much easier to suggest than accomplish:S3:

excellent details, colors & perch. BG is superb but needs a bit of NR IMO

Lovely shot, Jim. The orange of the Oriole works brilliantly with the green BG. I might have liked to see more room above, but I understand why you wanted to keep the nodule on the perch.
