Gorgeous!!
Dave, Not long ago I heard that there's a bird sanctuary on Cross Lake close to Ford Park. Have you heard of it and know how to get there? Not that I shoot birds or anything...just want to take my grandkids to see it.
Lisa
thanks Harold
Lisa, I know there is a preserve area(nothing special, just a designated area) way out on North Lakeshore Dr
there is also an egret rookery on an island out from the public boat launch area a way down from Ford Park.
This is only accessible by boat
Thanks, Dave.

Hi Harold, Please let us know what you like about an image. (See the sticky at the top of Avian here: http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...ad.php?t=10228)
Thanks!
As for the image, I like the illustration look and the soft colors. Would prefer a bit less detail in the lower BKGR.
Great work, Dave. I love the texture of the illustration and the way the color of the Little Green's back feathers are rendered.
Dave, this is excellent! Love the color combinations and the textures. The effect of the feathers standing up against the yellow bg my favorite part.
Despite the almost-sculpted look, you have retained all the coloration of the species. Good position in the frame as well. Really does look like something created in another medium. I really like the results. I have no objection to the lower BG detail. In fact, I think it adds a sense of depth to the image.
