Ian:
I love the undulating 'channel' that he is standing in, the curves compliment his.
Sharp and well exposed. I might consider toning down the larger twig of grass.
I could see this cropped as a vertical. Nice light.
Cheers
Randy
I'll echo Randy's comment regarding the channel...looks like a water sidewalk and your shooting angle shows it nicely. I also like the grasses and how they add visual interest into the overall scene. A suggestion would be to use a slight counter clock wise rotation, as the water line around the rail's legs looks like it's tilted slightly to the right...quite minor though. Very nice image sir.
Hi Ian, this pose shows off the eye and bill nicely, and interesting how he is standing in the clear part of the water.
Nice to get the composition like this, i love the bird and colours, exposure looks nice
Nice bird to have. I like the Head turn light and details.
Wonderful! I love how the grasses offset the bird, and the colors are perfect. The reflection is a beautiful painting -- is there any more of it? I'd love to see it all. If aspect ratio is important, you could take a little off the top to compensate.
