The image was taken handheld, I used an EC of +1/3 but i guess i should have pushed it to +1 as it was back lit, or used flash?

Standing out very nicely against the pale backdrop and I like the hint of oof leaves in the top, nice exposure on the blacks and loooooove the clear red eye { maybe darken the pupil slightly }

Very well done on this image. It seems you had a pretty steep angle, but you made it work. Love seeing the forked tail and the vegetation above works well as well. Agree with Phil on the eye as long as you are not opposed fiddling with the eye. Exposure looks good here but not sure whether you adjusted it during post processing. It is usually necessary to add more light when shooting a dark bird against a light BG.

Wonderful portrait of this beautiful drongo. I love the red eye and am fine with it as it is. Sweet hints of foliage in the background.

I love this Sanjeev. I'd be tempted to tone down the brightest spot in the ULC. The OOF foliage makes the image for me.

There is something special here about the way the leaves in the background look in conjunction with the
beautiful tail feature of the bird....Lovely image all around imo.

Terrific shot!
I really like the pose, very nice details on the blacks, and well composed.
Well done.

Nice bird and pose. The eye contact is nice also. Good advise about and hoping to see more of your images.
