The Wood Duck hen at dusk using a flash.
I blurred a bit of the BG to soften up some dark/light spots.
It was getting pretty dark when I took this.

The images done in such dark conditions is hard to do. What are the dark streaks over the head? Looks like cloning streaks. I would remove them.
Beautiful image of beautiful lady.Very nice blues in the feathers, nice reflection and great details.
Love the frame. What is the blue color in the eye?I have not seen this in real life.
Regards,
Satish.
Lovely colours in this, Dan. I don't actually mind the reflections, but the only nit for me is that the eye looks a little "flashed",
Cheers, Greg
Very nice shot Dan.
Love the colors.
Great shooting angle, nice pose, excellent details, and great comp.
Eye does look a tad wierd. Dont know if it was the flash or something else.
Still a great shot.
Well done.
Flash light doesn't look too harsh, but the pupil does look over flashed = easy fix with the burn tool. Sits in the frame well, but could do with a bit more room all round I feel. very curious as to what the dark streaks above the head are...almost looks like the burn tool gone wild
Good looking hen wood duck. I like the alert pose. The detail and exposure look great as dose the wing color. Yes to both the eye being flashed looking and to it looking like cloning above the head. Nice shot.
