The night birding is amazing in southern Arizona. So many nocturnal critters roaming around. The only problem was that meant that I hardly slept for the week I was there

Great work here Glenn. I know how tough getting these shots can be! I have proof of the challenge in a shot I got of an Elf Owl in Madera Canyon. I would never post it here as they would kick me off this forum!!

Could you elaborate on the flash settings? Did you use an extender? Was it totally dark?
