This is how would you see them sitting up in a bush or moving around on the ground. I had him landing on my setup once, but the desired head angle just wasn't there. Thanks for looking. I did some cloning around the head area. Canon 1D MIV Canon 500 f4.0 L IS + 1.4 III ISO 400 f 8.0 1/640 s.
I tried photographing this species today but none of them cooperated for me. Beautiful song though!
I like the natural habitat depicted, I just wish the far BG at top was even smoother. Good vertical comp.
There is a lot going on here, but I like the pose a lot.
I would try to soften the BG.

Repost has improved somewhat...overall nice light in this and like the foliage of the grape vine, I think the pose on the bird is extra nice and I wonder if maybe this would be nice cropped tighter as well.
