Probably my most technically challenging photo I've attempted as these birds can really move. These were flying low over the fields catching flies so I had to pick the bird up far out and try and track it in. I appreciate there is a bit of noise on the wing feathers and perhaps the whites are a little bright, but i've checked and they aren't blown and I didn't want to hurt the image with to much noise reduction. Any comments always appreciated.

Nice grassy filed feel to the image thanks to the bit of habitat you kept at bottom edge...nice touch (but I would get rid of the brown streak at lower right corner). Even though the head is angled away I like it as it seems as if it is looking towards where it is banking. Yes to noise on the wings...looks to be a big crop perhaps?

Thanks Daniel for the comments. I'd thought about the brown streak of grass but left it. Looking at it again its probably a bit distracting. The crop wasn't overly big but bigger than I'd have liked. I think a lot of the noise came from the ISO being at 1000. Thanks again.

Simon,
The capture here is great. I'm not sure I would change anything except removing the brown streak on the bottom right.

Nice shot.
I really like the pose and the habitat.
I have tried many, many times to get one in flight and have failed every single time.
So big props to you.
Well done.

Very tough subject Simon, I succeed with these supersonic flyers about 1 in 100 shots...or likely worse odds.
Like the relatively small in frame comp and smooth backdrop { yes to removing the brown streak }, liking very much the banking angle and displaying the forked tail......well done for sure

Very difficult indeed to capture these, but you did a good job! Very nice in flight, lightening could be a bit better though

Thanks again for all the comments. Here's a repost removing the brown grass streak, plus, I've added some punch to the bird and background to give it more impact.
