I've looked at this for a few moments, Tim. I think that it needs to be leveled with the back wave, CCW. I like how the bird appears in the opening in the waves and the "small in the frame" approach works rather nicely. I'm not totally sold on the composition as all that foreground to my eye isn't adding to the image. I'd play around with some other comps and see what you think.
Well I really like everything about this image, I am sure the composition isnt everybody's cup of tea but it makes the image interesting and draws me into the shot. Love it
Hi Tim, before reading Grace's comment, I too feel this needs some CCW rotation. I do like the sweet light, the dunlin is sharp, even though small in the frame, and taking off the bottom will create a good pano crop.
Nice shot Tim. I love the low angle and the lighting of the bird. I would crop out the bottom reflection as it is a bit distracting to me. Just my opinion though.
Wow, that's very different...rather like this one a lot Tim. I like how the bird looks slightly higher that the viewer....great low angle shot. The water and bird color works nicely for me and the light on the bird is rather nice. My only thought would be to rotate CCW a little and crop a bit more off the white bottom....kudos for a very different style Tim, I like it .
Agree that the image needs some rotation. The horizon doesn't look straight to me. I love the small bird in the frame. I would go with more of a pano and take some off of the bottom if it were mine.
Nice thinking , i would second Phil on his comments totally
you have nice thought process here
