Hi, everyone, back from my trip and I've got lots of catching up to do. This was taken at Mercier Orchards in Blue Ridge, Georgia. It's a family-owned orchard that is very old and has a wonderful store and restaurant as well as apples, strawberries, etc. This scene reminded me of something you'd see in Italy (although I've never been there :S3:).
I added 2 textures from Joe's Sistah textures on Flickr (I like her textures a lot), then added Film Grain in Nik Color Efex. That still didn't get me where I envisioned this going so I used Topaz Adjust Soft Focus but partially brushed the orchard back in and then Topaz Low Key.

That was my first impression before I read what you'd envisioned, this really reminded me of home...(born) in northern Italy, good work

Hi Cheryl, good to have you back! This is a lovely painting, definitely looking European to me and confirmed by Paul; that's quite a nice compliment. I hope you remembered the recipe, as this is a wonderful treatment.

Very nicely done. I like that nice glow on the red roof and the lower parts of the orchard. The textures add a depth and mood that I agree, is European.

Yes, when you said 'I'm back from my trip" I thought you'd gone to Italy. And here it is, my old stomping grounds, north Georgia! Well done.

Cheryl, this is gorgeous and my new favorite of yours!! I hope I can go there someday. What a beautiful vista that made me think "Italy" when I first saw it. Perfect processing too!
