Beautiful and colorful image.
wow a wonderful bird you have got here, the pose is wonderful and the colors look nice
the red eye with the small catchlight is just perfect
The surrounding look a bit bright IMO and may be a version with the surrounding a bit less bright may be interesting to see.
I have seen this bird in India a few times as a caged bird and i dont think i could get these details as you have in open on the caged one.
Wonderful shot.
Great pose, nice details, and great comp.
Well done.
Nice one Greg, seen huge flocks of these last year around broken Hill...getting close is another matter
The colors of the finch go so nicely with the bg. Nice low shooting angle too
Magnificent image of beautiful looking finch. Very nice pose, great colors, nice lights, low angle and composition.
Regards,
Satish.
Nice image, Greg. The bird's inquisitive pose is sweet. I would try taking a bit of the brightness out of the background as it competes a bit with the bird who deserves full attention.
I much prefer to see this species like this in the wild than in a cage (my brother had one as a pet for along time...he often kept it free in the house, mind you, and it was ULTRA friendly). Nice colours, low angle, exposure.
Hi Greg, love the pose, which in turn shows of the colours so well - and love the yellow cheek. Good low perspective, and the finch is nice and sharp.
