Wow, Stuart. I would love to get even ONE bittern in my collection! Good choice of aperture and the pose is great. I might consider taking just a touch off the top.
Very well done on this image, Stuart. Good thinking on the choice of F10 to get them both in focus. Love them against that green BG. Wonder if you could move them just a tad to the right to keep them out of the center.
Very nice, Stuart. I love the two different poses here. I'd move the watermark to a less distracting place. Fine job.
Stuart,
Nice follow-up to your last post. Like this one a bit more. I agree with Marina about a great aperture choice - I'd rather have the bg a bit more in focus than miss focus on one of these two guys.
Well done!
Miguel
Impressive with 2 in good focus
i have seen bitterns however dont have a single decent image and you have 2 in a frame fantastic.
Eye catching color and strong contrast, liking very much the young one mirroring the parents stance and eyes on both are excellent, in a perfect world the curled leaf in front of junior would not be there, but that's being overly nit picky. A liitle more room on the left or/and reduce room on the right to take birds off center may be a slight improvement...either way this is a stunner of a very difficult subject
Super sweet photo Stuart. I love the deep greens and the way the chick and parent are as one. Agree with mention of center placement.
What happened to the tip of the bottom bird's beak?
Cloned twig have to redo
The lighting on these birds is excellent, they are sharp and I like the environment.
Nice capture of these babies. Sharp and well exposed. Great light in this too. Well done getting them both in focus.
