Just a nitpick but
Your DOF seems pretty narrow for the lens combo.
The feet and Tail feathers look to be in the same plane but are oof?

Love the low angle - beautiful image of this gorgeous subject. Seems all is well focused except the legs and lower tail feathers - maybe a higher f stop would have helped but this is still an outstanding image.

Wow, Nick, this is one impressive bird and image. Super exposure and details. Love your low angle which gave you a great BG. The raised crown and HA are super!

Dan and Allen I think the feathers at the back of the bird are blurred due to movement because the bird was constantly re-adjusting itself, if this is the case it was best that I used the lens wide open to get the fastest shutter speed, but thanks for your comments it is appreciated.
