I would consider adding a sliver more canvas on the left, because of his angle of gaze.

Amazing details you captured here. I think I can even see the hide in the bird's eye! The pose is a fun, quirky one. I do find the bird somewhat cramped in the frame.

Thanks, I agree that it's a bit cramped but that's all I had top to bottom and I'm not a huge fan of square crops. I thought about adding canvas to the top to balance a stretch to the side; might play with that. Appreciate the input!

Beautiful image. I like the pose,colors,light and nice details.Needs more space around the bird.
