Welcome to BPN, Holger, and what a terrific first post! THe bird just pops against that blue background (BG). Your image looks well exposed. Very much like the composition you chose and the pose of your Eider.

Very nice first image, like the composition, and the wave in front is a very nice element, much stronger impact than just a plane sea background.
