Excellent flight pose, with nice slight angle towards use to showcase the different surfaces of the wings. Sharp.
The light angle has left the belly and face a bit too dark to be most flattering. If not done already, I would try and brighten both areas just a bit. It certainly can be done in a subtle manner and still look natural. If available, I would use the shadow slider in LR4 as a start, and do any further touchup with detail extractor filter in Color Efex 4.
Framing is too tight, but I understand why you chose this. Might explore looser crop with cloning of the offending egrets, if possible.
Cheers

Hi Barry,
I like the wingspread on this capture - nicely timed. I agree with Randy about adding more space all around (especially in front). If you can clone the egrets out of the space, that would be great!

Lovely capture. Colors and exposure look good. If you didn't have any offending birds, I would add a little more space to the right.
