This image shows a young Crimson Rosella. The adults are bright red, where this bird is green and turqouise. I almost prefer the young ones to the adults, due to their amazing plumage and mix of colors.
They inhabit temperate rainforest.

Agree Jan, the youngsters are nicer colored I think. We dont see many Crimsons here in Sth oz, but have the Adelaide version which is orange rather than red
Lovely sharp shot and light, and the curved perch is very nice, smooth backdrop make it all come together like a lovely studio image

Jan:
The bird is very colorful, and the perch displays him beautifully with the curve adding interest, and the few leaves adding as well.
Nice soft background. My first thought was that the image was just a bit bright, perhaps 1/4 stop. Personal taste really.
Cheers
Randy

Absolutely beautiful. The perch is almost as pretty as the bird. IQ looks great, you pushed the reds to the edge but I can see detail everywhere. I'd agree with Randy about it being a touch bright.

A wonderful species! The composition here is just right, a nice triangle made with the curving perch and his eye at the apex point. The perch is great: delicate and interesting.
