What a lovely portrait, Mack! Love the pose, the composition and the colors all go nicely together. I also find the varied BG very pleasing and unique.
The pose is great, but as Marina mentioned ... the bg takes this image to the next level. Light is gorgeous too. Nicely captured!

This is so lovely. It makes me think of a high-end studio portrait with the subtle but dramatic lighting and that perfect bkgd. Also, great natural and simple perch. Did you pay this bird? :S3:
Very nice overall, I especially like the water drops still evident on the plumage. I'd have preferred the subject higher in the frame though (pointing your lens down more), but all-in-all a strong image.
