This Squacco Heron was fairly busy in front of the hide, and he gave us lots of opportunities to capture some action. In this, he was stretching forward to catch a frog which he was unsuccessful. Taken at a wetlands south of Johannesburg back in January.

Very different, very likeable....I've never seen one with it's neck stretched out like this. I like the way you have cropped this as well....nothing to alter in my opinion

Wow, this is a striking action image, Stuart. You captured the perfect moment so beautifully. The pond with full of green is a nice contrast against the colours of the bird. Composition is really good with this pano presentation.

Cool stretched out pose Stuart. Exposure is spot on in turn giving you very nice feather detail. Nice colors against the green mat. Well captured
