Lovely subjectt in lovely light. You have a nice low angle and the bird is into the clear enough to work. I have to say that this image really works. The BG birds are OOF enough in the upper left to work well but the ones to the right are a little distracting. Nevertheless, I like the image b/c it tells a story.

Very tough to get one alone. I find the oof birds too bright , and cause a huge distraction for me. I'm loving the low angle and beautiful light.

Love the low angle, the sharpness and details here. Also nice pose with good HA. The OOF birds are alright to me, but wish there is no OOF circle in the top left, but this maybe just be personal preference.

This is insanely good, and I adore the O.O.F. birds. The light, the angle, the placement of all these creatures, and the appealing symmetry of left side and right side. Dont' change anything! You are to be commended, that's for sure!

Nicely done Derek, Ive only ever seen this species twice and there were very hard to get near to.

The detail is extra good and showing the plumage patterns extra well, I like very much the blue water backdrop and oof birds add a sense of natural environment, although I would consider cropped out the partial bird on the left and maybe desaturate the head of the bird on the right

The blue bkgd sets off the Plover very nicely. I am fine with most of the bkgd birds but think they could be even more OOF, so they are softer and have even less competing details.

Beautiful shot Derek! As others have mentioned, good work with the low angle,exposure and detail look good as well. I actually like the oof birds in the background as I feel it gives a sinse of the surrounding scene without being too overpowering in the image.

Great colour and nice details and exposure! I find the OOF bird that made it to the left frame a bit distracting, and I don't mind the other OOF birds. If possible, I would also remove the black spots on the water.

Great details, colours and POV. I agree on the BG, it's a tad busy for me.
