It's not always about having the longest glass (as Daniel has shown on numerous occasions). For this shoot, I headed out with the 70-200 and 1.4x to the local pond where these guys are hanging out with their mom. I waited patiently until I could get some shots of them isolated. It didn't take long since they are accustomed to people (everyone feeds these guys!). Caught this guy running around right behind mom (whose butt I cloned out). I decided to keep a lot of room in front and crop to 16:9.
As always, critiques and suggestions are welcomed and appreciated!

Miguel:
Your low shooting angle has allowed excellent subject isolation despite the 'shortish' lens used.
Cute fellow, good eye, like the comp. choice you made.
Discrete cloning job

I like the wider aspect and the subject is aabout as cute as they can be, the grass gives a good sense of size of this little fellow and like the uniform color tones, the eye is great....my only initial thought was the head seems to of lost some detail in the yellow region, but at the same time it also softens the image in a good way

High cuteness factor here! Love the colors, the details and the sharpness. I actually think the pano crop works quite well.

Miguel this is one sweet image , a image everyone would like to be up on the wall and gives a pleasant feel to all around
the Low level perspective works superbly on this one, i like the pano composition chosen as it gives a good amount of room to the bird to walk in to
i am in love with the image
