Gliding Galapagos Hawk
Soaring Galapagos Hawk taken 3 14/2011 that I revisited using Arash's sharpening techniques outlined in his ebook
took the back-lit juvenile with a 7D 400sec f/8 ISO 400 at 90mm with 70-200 f/2.8L IS II USM. Slower shutter than usual for BIF but birds were just soaring almost in place in the wind....F/8 was moments before I tried to capture a pair in the same frame.

Very nice back lit image, great details, good exposure. Love it.

What beautiful light, and detail! I'm going thru his book again to pound it into my brain. But nothing beats getting the exposure and focus tack-sharp in the field.

Nice flight pose, good capture.

Very nice, wonderful back lighting that i think always makes these kind of images extra good, against the blue sky it's better still.
