Great HA on both - the bird on the left has a real inspecting the gift look to it. The clear view of the eye on the incoming bird is a big plus and I like the stick it is bringing in with the root system visible and present. Nice light and I like the underwing detail and the dappled lighting in the underwing. I would be very happy with this image and there are no nits from me.
This is a killer image, Troy. Love the action and behavior and the fact that you can see everything so well including the nest. I might consider a little more sharpening of both birds.
It's nice to see that you are once again a BPN member!
Troy,
I saw the thumbnail and I said "Viera Wetlands". I need to get back there! This is very nicely captured as it's very rare to get both head angles in one photo.
Also, thanks for joining BPN. I would click on your links bc I knew something good was coming up, but man it sure is nice to see the thumbnail first!

What a nice image. As mentioned good HA from both birds, I like the composition and the great landing pose of the incoming bird. Good to have you back.:-)
Nice dynamic image. Agree the birds could use a little more sharpening.
Stunning shot! Love the pose on both!

Great behavioral pose bringing in nesting material. Exposure looks good but they are lacking feather detail especially in the neck. I agree with the others, a bit more sharpening. Nice capture.
Thank you all. I will do a bit more sharpening. I shoot Neutral with Nikon and I always afraid of over sharpening. Glad to be back.
Great action shot. I wish it were mine.
Nice action shot!
A wonderful shot, Troy. You caught the incoming heron at the best possible point--perfectly separated from the awaiting heron. The large twig being delivered adds to the interest, and both birds have great head angles.
