An unusual composition that works nicely Greg, dont think I've ever seen one with the tail spread like that....if I had to nit pic then I'd suggest a different perch without the jagged end

I have not seen too many images of this species - would like a bit more HA towards the camera.

Lovely foliage and flowers on the setup, great BG, and the bird looks pretty darn good too...love the flared tail. Good comp too. I too would prefer a better head angle (I like it pointing up, I just would have preferred it angled a bit more towards us), and I find the eye a bit odd...a bit of work there would really improve the look of it IMO. Great stuff though...keep them coming!

It's funny how those small blue flowers really bring the image together. My eye literally goes from the bird to the flowers and back. Nicely done!

As Daniel mentioned, the eye could use just a tad of work. I would remove one of the two catchlights.

Nice image design. The broken twig is a minor issue. If the head angle was in line with the body it would make the image design less effective. You need the bird's bill pointing toward the left of frame. Besides, the bird's head does look adequately lit.

Beautiful overall scene. Love the perch, pose and the BG. I agree, the bird could be a bit brighter on the head but a great shot none the less. Well done.
