This is one sweet shot Mike, lovely soft light and fine detail, eye contact/HA is extra nicely done too I think, beautiful backdrop.....spider is disgustingly nice to see hehehe.
I wonder if a wider aspect shot with more room on the right maybe worth considering, and maybe remove the second catch light in the eye
Cool! Beautiful warm colour tones, and the prey item is excellent..."disgustingly nice to see" as Phil says :S3:. Excellent BG, and wonderful details. I agree with removing the second catchlight (did you use flash? What are your techs?) and also agree with more room for the comp (right and below). Looks like parts of the branch were hot and possibly toned down in post?
Sweet. I agree with above comments.
Great timing, great action.
Loving this shot. Lovely background and great details on the bird. As above I would remove the second catchlight in the eye
Spider could be a Hogna spp (Lycosidae)
Love all of this shot, can only agree with the above re: removing the second catchlight.
Cracker.
Thank You all very much for your comments and advise. I will remove the second catchlight.
