Savannah -- Part 2, Bonaventure Cemetery, Version 2

This is for the folks who wanted to see the rest of the angel. The processing was pretty much the same as for the first version.

The monument was so tall that the series of shots (it was another bracketed HDR image; this time including the entire figure but not all of the monument) didn't include the ground. Ground was added using a Flypaper Textures texture that was compressed vertically and warped so it wasn't straight. It was also masked on the right so the branch of the tree looked like a separate tree. A faint shadow was added in front of the angel.

The other substantial difference from the first version was the addition of a Nik Color Efex layer of Graduated Fog.

Dennis: I prefer the prior image. I think you were right in selecting it to do first. This one loses its punch.

Hi Dennis, it is nice to see the figure grounded, but I think it makes a different statement. I like both versions for different reasons. The original has more of an ethereal look, while this one is more "earthly". Both are very well done and strong images IMO. Thanks for showing us both ways of looking at it.

Nice job on both of these. I prefer this one but the effect on both of them works very well. Thanks for explaining your workflow.

Hi Dennis - I had to go look at the prior image. I prefer this one for the wider view. The effect works well on both. TFS your thought process too.
