Well, it turns out the DAP does absolutely wonderful things to blurs - who knew? This one started as a blur of some trees and flowering bushes at a local lake. I took the blur into DAP and applied the "d'Orcia HD" preset, which is named for a valley in Tuscany. I then applied the oil paint filter in PS. I added in the birds, which were borrowed from Bosque.
I sure wish BPN would go to 1200x800 image size, as this image fits that perfectly. When sized to 1024 it gets small and details get lost. It could happen! :c3:

This is very nicely composed, and the processing produced a great result. The birds add a lot to its appeal.

Kerry, DAP should hire you to help sell their product! I really like the emphasis on the layers and shapes of the colors. The added geese are perfect in placement and detail. BTW, I completely agree with you about increasing image size. Add my vote when you moderators are talking.

Beautiful composition, Kerry. I can see this as a wall hanging... the colors are super and the birds really add to the image. Nicely done.

Kerry, love the painting look. I don't have that preset but I bought DAP a long time ago. Did you upgrade or is it hiding somewhere and I've had it all along?:S3:
