My wife and I warmed up in southern Utah this week. Other commitments limited the photography. I capture a few blurs of the backlit cactus. Minimal PP with a bit of contrast color range, tonal contrast and a subtle vignette.

Hi Gary, I like the wavy motion you created with this blur. Is this a teddy bear cholla? I love the desert and you captured the essence of this one nicely. The back lighting works really well for this kind of cactus. The colors really capture the feel of the desert.
Very effective blur for this. Cactus are usually thorny and this conveys that well. I also like the light. Nice job!
Gary, I like the flow to this and the lighting.:S3:
I like the abstract look you achieved and those absolutely wonderful colors.
A very successful in camera blur, Gary! I like the inclusion of the distant horizon at the top.
