Well, as I was warned, blurs are addictive. I went to the Bronx Zoo this week to test out a new lens and they have peacocks running around especially near the restaurant. So I decided to play with a few blurs of the feathers.

Rachel, the fun part of blurs is you can do them anywhere on anything with any lens. I do them with my 100-400 all the time. I really like the colors and the fact that you can see the eyes. There are a couple of dust spots you might want to clean up. I hope you keep on doing them!

Yes, they are big fun and definitely addicting. I like the subject you picked, nice colors and detail. Good diagonal motion too!
Blurred peacock feathers . . . What a sharp idea. I'd have never thought of it, but the result is great. I really like the colors, the diagonal, and the amount of blur. Having some of the feathers aligned with the blur and others not is very effective.
