There is something about the Bosque del Apache that lends itself to blurs. Gary Ellwain, Denise and I were over in the bushes on the opposite side of the road from one of the cornfields while the bird action was slow doing blurs one day. This was taken at f/36, 1/8 sec., ISO 100. I used Nik Color Efex Film Modern Fujichrome Sensia 100 to change the toning just a bit.

Lovely! You got a pleasing amount of "movement" -- very painterly.

I didn't like the orangy patch that was created with the film filter so I desaturated it a little with the sponge tool. I think I like it better now.:S3:

Hi Cheryl, I must admit that I'm not a tremendous blur fan, but I really like this image. The color palette is lovely, and the texture really works for me--very painterly. Inspires me to try some blurs the next time I'm out!

Hi Cheryl - I like this one a lot. Beautiful tones and I like that it still retains enough definition to know what it is.

Cheryl, I remember the moment. It opened up a new world of photography for me. Thanks to you and Denise. The subtle hues and textures of Bosque lend themselves to this technique. You captured them nicely with this image.
