Cutaway Lotus with Textures

You may have seen the same image processed differently before. I started with the Raw image and lightened it more than my previous processing, made other adjustments and used the adjustment brush on the light areas in the background. I also painted over those light areas after opening it in Ps. I used Nik Tonal Contrast at about 50% of default settings and I lowered the layer opacity also. Then I added 2 Swoon the Moon textures with lighter centers and darker edges. I altered the colors on the textures to better match the original colors as they were both somewhat yellow-orange, both in soft light mode and lowered opacities and a little masking on one over the flower.

It's beautiful Judy! I love the sense that the light is coming from inside the flower. The textures work really well and give the impression of a fine-weave canvas. Very nicely done.

Beautiful image, Judy. I love the colors and lighting. I wouldn't mind seeing a heavier texture personally, but the subtle texture works well too. Well done.

Hi, I thought the brighter areas on the upper right and left were a bit distracting so I removed them. I also felt the straight vertical stem was a bit static so I put the flower on a slight angle.
The flower is very pretty with nice lighting. Good use of subtle textures.

Thanks Dave! That's a nice alternative. I hope to work on the background to even out the tones. I might add another or different texture. I'm ambivalent about the tilt though. :w3

Nice colors and detail. Not sure if I like OP or repost crop better. Image could benefit from NR in bg.

Thanks Cheryl M. I only see the texture in the background. I ran NR on it before Nik TC and I only saw very fine grain afterwards which to my eyes disappeared with the 2 textures.

Late to the discussion. I like both the OP and Dave's repost. Lovely use of textures, and, of course, original image. I do think the yellowish area in upper right corner of OP is a bit distracting.
