I like the pose with grass on the bill, overall exposure and sharpness. I might try to soften the dark brown areas at the top of the frame.

HI Frank, Love that you were working right down sun angle. And I like the feeding pose with the diagonal lines. I'd take about half off the bottom as there is more room below the bird than above the bird. You might try a crop at the point where the foreground grass starts to go out of focus.
The repost improved the composition. The goose looks very nice. I like the foraging.
The surroundings are so contrasting in lightness and darkness, that it's difficult for me
not to find it distracting....but again, less so with the repost.
Frank, nice shot. the thumbnail does not do justice. agree with Artie on some crop from bottom. I liked the grass-snow mix on the ground. Very nice pose as well.

Pane #7 is better but still too much oof grass. A crop from just below the Naturfottograffe line.... The oof-grass grabs the eye....
