Yep, that's a Chinstrap alright :)
Lovely pose and subject placement.
I do like the iceflow in the upper left cause it balances the photo (I would remove the two very
tiny ice specs right above it).
I'm just not sure of the two smaller one's in the upper right. I keep going back and forth on
yes and no.
We'll see what the others think.

I like the placement in the frame of this delightful little guy, and the down-the-barrel look is good. I don't mind the larger piece of ice as it is an important part of the image's natural history, but it's placement could have been better (IMO) by getting yourself physically lower to the ground if it was possible. Still a neat scene, and the snow looks great!
