Shot this guy at a local nature center. For some reason they love hanging out on the backside of the tree but he decided to come around the front a few times today. There were feeders around and this guy was waiting his turn. Canon EOS 1DMK4, 600mm, ISO 1600, f/5.6, SS 1/800s.
Love that tongue!... which makes it a bit different from the classical wp shot.
I like the green moss on the tree and the way it compliments the red.
Eye looks terrific.
I might play with the saturation in the BG as I am not fussy about the putty color,( personal taste issue )
