Golden Eagle

An impressive fellow with the intense stare and launching pose. Sharp and well exposed. Strong definition from the side lighting.

Be sure to comment on any special post processing, it helps with the critique.

I find him a bit large in the frame, just a bit more space if you have it.

Welcome to BPN and what a terrific first post. Congratulations on this one, especially on getting such a super image on your first sighting of this amazing raptor. I personally like seeing your bird large in the frame here. Your exposure and details looks great, and I like the way the light is hitting the bird. The in-your-face stare is pretty nice.

The tight crop works for me because he's coming at you -- what a gorgeous pose and wonderful IQ! Maybe the color temp is just a little cool.

This is an amazing shot of an amazing bird. Wow. I'd like to see how you're gonna top this with your next post ;-).
