Captured on Portugals Atlantic coast in a small sandy cove at Porto Covo, this Turnstone was happy to allow me to lie on the sand with him pretty close. I left the slope as his posture shows him reacting to it.
Added +2 on blacks and a little sat, NR to BG. Eye looks a little milky but hey.
Very nice Richard. loved the pose, exp., details. strong comp. am fine with the slope. Catchlight in the eye would have been nice of course. this could be a closed nictitating membrane?

I like it. You did a good job with the relatively harsh light. Like the SH, the good EXP, and the angled, clean sand beach. The eye looks a bit dead/funky perhaps due to the sun angle.

Of course the BG colors compliment the bird which is very sharp with good detail. I like the slope, the eye has been addressed.

Great exposure and details on this RT and your bird's diagonal line works well. The eye does look a little funky.

Nice clean image of a Turnstone, Richard. I also wish for a better eye. maybe an eye doctor work would help.

Besides the eye, this is a great shot. Exposure and detail are very nice. Maybe tone down the highlights a tiny bit. Nice work
