I guess crows are normally ignored as subjects of photos, however they are one of the most interesting birds and are involved in some amazing action
I like this one, the details are nice. Is pied crow a different specie itself or is it a different formation. In one of the places near to us we have a crows who have some white feathers on the wings, however its restricted to one small area.
I love the way the light shows up the colours and textures of the black feathers and the light was directly behind you which it needed to be as it was quite strong. Nice behaviour image Jonathan with the object in it's beak.
Really pretty blacks, Jonathan . . . and, the whites are in-check.
Very nice, dynamic image Jonathon. Good exposure and composition, nice low angle, and the HA is perfect with a great catch light. Was this flashed? If so, it's barely detectable and the exposure is spot on. Also, is that part of a crab the crow has in its beak?
I think I saw this Crow species in Hungary before. The details in the picture are really striking. A truly great image, excellent work Jonathan.
Really nice detail in this guy. Nice low angle.
Hi Jonathan - great low pov and excellent exp to bring out all the different colors/shades of the crow. I think it needs some ccw rotation.

Rachel
The thumbnail does not do this justice at all!
Topnotch photo of a Crow.
You nailed the exposure, nothing I would change.
About as good an exposure as possible Jonathon, superb detail retained in the blacks especially, cant pick any way to improve.....yuk to the fish head lol lol
Jonathan:
Magnificent image with wonderful exposure, great details in blacks and whites, nice low angle and composition.
Every image of your's pied crow series has it's own beauty.

Satish.
Thank you so much for the comments everyone. I used a very small amount of Topaz Detail 2 just for the fine detail. I have just upgraded to Detail 3 which appears to have greater functionality, the key to using it is to ensure it is used very sparingly and mainly in the fine detail for the plumage.
Very nice shot.
Great pose, really like the shooting angle, exposed very well, and great comp.
Very well done.
