Nice sharpness, excellent wing positions. I like the water droplets flying everywhere. I tried to send you a pm but your box is full.
Jack, I just figured out how to empty my inbox and replied to you.

Dan:
Another nice buffe head. Sharp, good exposure.
Wish she was angled towards us a bit.
It is impressive that your 300 with the 2X can maintain such good detail. Is this the III version of the TC?
Cheers
Randy
Great wing position and details, Dan. Love the light on the bird. A little head turn towards us would be better.
I like the pose, water drops, IQ and composition. Nice image Dan!
I'm liking the texture of the dry feathers in this one. Yes a bit better angle would be nicer but you nailed everything else.
Tim
The head turn would add something but you would have lost the huge catchlight that immediately drew my attention, like it alot.
Thanks for the comments.
Randy,
Version III.
I will not contend that the 2x with a 300 is as good as a 500 or 600, I have never used those so I can't say, but I
will take the word from others that it is not as good.
I get decent sharpness and BIF photos of ducks like Buffleheads, so it works for me as long as I have decent light and SS.
As far has the head angle in this one, I have dozens where they are looking right at me.
I preferred this one as I think she looks demure and bashful, if that makes sense
And I like the look she has.
very nice dynamic pose and low angle, I also wish he was angled towards us.
Terrific shot Dan!
Love the flapping pose, very nice light, great IQ, and great comp.
Me personally dont mind the angle.
Well done.
Nice flapping pose and the exposure looks great. I too wish the angle was a bit better but I like it as posted. Good job.
Magnificent image with nice full wings up.Great exposure, sharp and beautifully composed.
Love the pose, details, lights, blue water and droplets.
Regards,
Satish.
Love the light in this one, Dan. The pose is excellent and so is the IQ. Some how the angle works for me here (although I'm typically a HA stickler)
Hi Dan, getting low for this has really turned out well, and of course, captured in great light. Well timed for the wingflap, sharp, and thats a great fast ss you had. The browns of the buffelhead, and the blues of the water go well together.
