The bird looks good against the pretty blue water. Wing position and eye contact are excellent. You might try to bring up the blacks a bit, and I'd move the bird farther to the left in the frame.
Nice flight pose, agree with moving the bird to the left.

Stuart:
Doug hit the important points. Bringing up the blacks would be a nice improvement!

Beautiful flight pose... Agree with Doug, Gary and Randy on the blacks... I would also move the bird to the left, this "guy" needs a bit of nose space... but then you may also have to crop a teeny bit off of the right. GREAT FACE on this duck! I'm not familiar with your location nor with the duck species...but would love to know more! Really like how the black, white and brown come together on the left wing! Probably "just me" ... the "change" in water texture on UL appears a (little) odd?... but... then again "water does that". Cool "in flight"... love "the eye" he's showing you.
Stuart,
This is a winner with all of the recommendations above. I might also add just a touch of sharpening on the head.

Good job on getting this flight shot sharp with a nice BG and good wing position. Agree I'd like to see the bird a little farther back in the frame so that he is flying into it rather than in the middle of it.
Very ncie shot.
I really like the light, great IQ, and great flight pose.
Well done.
