Not sure What Name to Give It

On our trip out west this past summer, I took a photo of a windblown field. I finally got around to doing something with it. I seem to get moments, usually, when I am at work. Every chance I get, between problems, phone calls, and my own work, I just keep working and reworking on an image trying to get it right. I've worked on this for a while.

I used Nik HDR effect, Topaz Clean, Orton, Burnt Edges effect and copied and pasted various colors from the original, into the final image. Even I haven't got a clue how many different things I've done to achieve this final image. I save often so if I really don't like the changes I've made, I can easily go back.

This is fantastic! Love the whispy grass heads, the wonderful placement of the green and red colors against the pale colors of the bkgd., the lines, the motion...super well done!! Even the wavy edges add to the motion of the entire image. Michael has a good suggestion for a title.

Hi, Paul, I think I'd name it "beautiful". It's a lovely composite and blend of different effects and the burnt edges really finish it nicely. (I hope you found the owls:S3:).

I agree with the previous comments on the composition and I love the red and green colors that stand out against the pale yellow. Nice work on the frame too!

Cheryl: Owls have been giving me a hard time, Great Grays have been around but not coming out until after dark....We went up to Algonquin Park yesterday, a few good birds, I posted a few images on my blog, more to come ..

I find this a delightful image. The colors, the textures, the marvelous frame, all work together to create a light and airy feel.
