I was just fooling around with moving my new toy- a Nikon Coolpix - in many different ways while photographing our xmas tree. For This image I had the camera rotating and then used Fractilius to see what it would do...It added the smoky bg and gave the lines a twist that I liked. The xmas tornado comes in xmas night and leaves you broke by New years...hehe!

I've had that tornado come through my house at times, the main part of the tree is very interesting and colorful, I may have cropped it another way, but your image your vision.
Thats what OOTB is all about, experimenting...well done

Hi Bob, very interesting creation - reminds me of the phrase "tempest in a teapot". :c3: Always fun playing with the Christmas lights! I agree with Paul regarding a different crop, but I see why you included the lines in the lower left area.

Fabulous title for this great creation! I really like the immense energy and how this seems to swirl in that dark, smokey-like bkgd. And that there are just enough colors in the bkgd that pick up some of the colors of the lights.

Bob, I immediately thought of a cyclone:S3: Experimenting is fun and I like the way this came out.
