I only know Dave through the work on his website. It is easy to see his great talent and his delightful sense of humor. The Dhole, or Asiatic Wild Dog, hunts large prey in packs and seems always ready to take off in a full run. Fractalius seemed fitting.
Love the colors, the killer Fract, and the open mouth. Not to mention the animal itself. Where?
The title, the effect you achieved, and your description of the animal, all fit together nicely. They combine to describe it very well. I've been trying to figure if I'd prefer the strong whites toned down some, but I'm not sure. I do wish there were a bit more canvas on the right.

Nancy, Steve nailed it for me - energy! Your interpretation of the energy of this animal is spot on for me and really makes for a compelling image. I think Dennis has a good point about space on the right, but it doesn't take anything away from the image IMO. I thought for a minute about a vertical portrait crop, but I think the legs really reinforce the notion that this dog is ready to go. :c3:
Thanks Steve, Indranil and Kerry. A little more space on the right is a good suggestion. I tried several variations of fractalius on this boy but always came back to this one, because of the energy it emanates, as most noted.

Nancy, Your processing adds the energy, without it he could be just yawning or panting, it is excellent. And I like the color, it is appropriate for the heat in Tadoba.
