Hi Gary, I really like what you were trying out here... the blur is good and gives a 3D feel to it. I also like the earthly tone and how it matches that of the crane. I would have cropped a bit of the right and bottom, if it were mine. Very nice processing... TFS.
I can see why you kept coming back. The colors are wonderful, and I like the blur. I played around with some ideas to see what would happen. The first was to follow Indranil's cropping suggestion.
Not so much the reflection, but the crane, itself, doesn't stand out from the background. To remedy that, I lightened the background with a Curves layer and applied a freeform mask with a soft brush to reduce the lightening around the edges, especially at the bottom of the image. Then, I added a Vibrance adjustment layer (to the background, only) to bring back some of the color that had been lost. I also tried using the smudge tool to soften the transition at the far edge of the blurs on the right side of the cranes.
Indranil and Dennis, thanks for the look and comments. The suggestions and changes improve the image. Dennis, thanks for the photoshop tutorial. I will try to achieve similar changes on my own.

This is a really nice blur with beautiful layers of colors in the bkgd. Is it possible to darken the neck and head so it is more like the body? I think that would help it stand out more from the bkgd and present a more cohesive bird. Good capture of the red on the head and the yellow eye. I tend towards the lighter colors of the image by Dennis.

Nice one Gary! I agree with comments regarding the head and neck, but I like the ghost-like quality that the blur provides. Dennis did a nice version as well. Love the quality of the light and the resulting colors.
